OLDENHOFF, JERRY L. (JERR)
Seymour

Jerry L. Oldenhoff, age 57, passed away peacefully, Saturday evening, October 2, 2010 in Seymour following a brave battle with cancer. He was born August 14, 1953 in Heartland Wisconsin, son of Minnie (Russell Ahlm) and the late Lester Oldenhoff. On November 2, 2003, he was united in marriage to Donna Langner-Marien in Seymour.

Jerry was a fair man. He never met anyone he couldn't make friends with. In the trucking world, at Midwest Carriers, he was known as "Mr. Awesome". He loved trucks, especially "Virginia".

He enjoyed giving elaborate dinner parties where he would do all the cooking. If you ever attended one of his dinner parties you never walked away hungry. He enjoyed spending time teaching young people, especially his nephews, the old values of life.

Survivors include his wife, Donna and her children whom he loved as his own; Eric Marien, Kevin (Katie) Marien, Nicole (Timm) Everetts; grandchildren: Paul Everetts, Faith Everetts, and Caroline Marien; one daughter, Carilyn (Eric) Hansen and daughter Madelaine, his mother, Minnie (Russell) Ahlm; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Don and Myra) Langner; one brother, Frank Oldenhoff, nieces and nephews, Matthew Oldenhoff, Leslie Ranguette, Brenda Schlehlein, Hope Marquardt, Tammy Oldenhoff, Tanya Hinchey. He is further survived by the many members of the Langner family, including Dawn Wolff who was extra special to him, and his best buddy and dog, Gabriel, by whom he will be sadly missed.

He was preceded in death by one brother, David and his father, Lester.

Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour for a memorial gathering on Thursday, October 7, 2010 from 5 PM until 8 PM. Visitation will continue on Friday, October 8, 2010 at Assembly of God, Seymour from 5 PM until memorial services at 7 PM with Pastor Ryan Langner officiating. Online condolences may be expressed at www.muehlboettcher.com .
