Joan Wagner

Joan C. Wagner, 86, of Shawano and formerly of Seymour passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at Birch Hill in Shawano. She was born on May 31, 1938 to the late William and Lulu (Bishop) Page.

On June 4, 1960 she was united in marriage to John Wagner and celebrated over 64 years together . Joan and John were best friends their entire life and rarely spent a moment apart.

She grew up in the Seymour area and later moved to Appleton, Baraboo, and eventually settled in Shawano.

Joan's greatest time in her life was when she was able to take care of her grandchildren and attend their sporting events and other activities.

She is survived by her husband, John; sons: Jeff (special friend, Mindy) Wagner and Larry (Lisa) Wagner; grandchildren: Stephen (Kassie) Wagner and Mary Jo Wagner; great-grandchildren: Rhye, Aiden, and twins: Annabelle and Ava. Further survived by a sister, Sandra Klitzke; sisters-in-law: Ethel Duhm and Sandy (Frank) Krummey; brother-in-law, Norbert Siolka; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Margaret "Maggie" Wagner; grandson, Sean Wagner; brother, William "Billy" Page; and brothers-in-law: Dewey Klitzke and Roy Duhm; and sister-in-law, Maryann Siolka.

Visitation for John and Joan will take place on Monday, March 31, 2025 at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home at 9:00 am until their memorial service at 11:00 am with Pastor Ty Stoneburner officiating. Interment will take place at Elm Lawn Cemetery in Rose Lawn.
