Joan M. Kimball, 87, Seymour, passed away on Thursday, March 4, 2021, at Good Shepherd Nursing Home. She was born on April 3, 1933, to Frank and Lucille (Zuleger) Jaskolski.
Joan was united in marriage to Charles "Chuck" Kimball on November 21, 1959. He preceded her in death on March 5, 2008. Joan and Chuck operated Chuck's City Service, Chuck's Sinclair and Chuck's Auto Service in Seymour for 50 years.
Mom was always ready to go out for a great meal and drink, especially in the days of the Gallery and Krabbe's Supper Clubs. She also looked forward to visiting with Mark's customers and vendors at the shop. Lately what brought her the most joy was her two beautiful great-grandchildren; just the mention of their names gave her the biggest smile. She was happiest around her family and friends
Joan is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law: Mark (Tami) Kimball, Seymour; and Dale (Julie) Kimball, Seymour; grandchildren: Alexandra (Ryan) Sperber, Luke (Rachel) Kimball and Seth (special friend, Emily) Kimball; great-grandchildren: Jackson Kimball and Lucille Sperber. She is further survived by her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Phyllis (Lyle) Sconzert, Green Bay; two special nephews, Gary Jaskolski and Tom Kimball; and many other nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, her parents, and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Elmer (Gladys) Kimball, she was preceded in death by her infant sister, Carol Jean; one brother, Jerry (LaVon) Jaskolski; her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Doris Woldt; Robert (Jeanette) Kimball, William Kimball, and Helen (Lee) Montoure; two nieces: Karla Kimball and Debbie Jaskolski; and one nephew, Richard Woldt.
A visitation will take place on Saturday, March 13, 2021, at St. John Catholic Church, Seymour, from 9:30 am until the Funeral Mass at 11:00 am, Fr. Sengole Dass and Deacon Rich Matuszak officiating. Burial will take place at the parish cemetery.
The family extends a special thanks to the caregivers at Good Shepherd and Woodside Manor for their compassionate care, and especially Jenny for her help in mom's final days.
