Joan C. Reed, Seymour, passed away Sunday morning, January 23, 2011, at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Seymour. She was born March 12, 1934, daughter of the late Roy and Ella (Mueller) Thomas. On July 14, 1956, she was united in marriage to Walter Reed. He preceded her in death September 5, 2002.
Joan was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Seymour, and the Seymour Red Hatter's. She enjoyed bowling and was active in the Junior Bowling Program at Wally's Seymour Bowl.
Survivors include one daughter, Terri (Jim) Peters, Seymour; two grandsons: Ryan (Rachel) Peters, Chicago, and Brent (fiancee Angela) Peters, Seymour; one great-granddaughter, Zephyr; and one brother, Jerry Thomas, Seymour
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Amy; granddaughter, Melissa Peters; and sister-in-law, Fern Thomas.
Friends may call at Emmanuel Lutheran Church Seymour, on Wednesday, January 26, 2011, from 5:00 until services at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Roland Lindeman officiating. Burial in the Parish Cemetery.
