Joan Wichman, age 83, passed away on Friday August 16, 2024.
Joan was born on November 1, 1940 to Robert and Edna Johnson. Joan was united in marriage to Thomas Wichman April 8, 1961. He preceded her in death on September 16, 2014.
Joan worked at Green Bay Radiology and retired from Guardian. She enjoyed making greeting cards, Christmas stockings for everyone, knitting, decorating cakes and Christmas cookies with her family. Joan was also an active member of the New Life United Methodist Church Seymour, and Seymour American Legion Auxiliary.
She is survived by her children: Peggy (Greg) Schultz and James (Cheryl) Wichman, son-in-law Dan Hansen; grandchildren: Ben (Alicia) Schultz, Abbey (Kyle) Holtz, Kay (Dan) Schlimn, Emily (Keith) Schreiner, Noah (Emily) Wichman, Albert Hansen, Antone (Courtney) Hansen, Nathaniel (Abi Habeck) Hansen; great-grandchildren: Wyatt, Scarlett, Hailey, Henry, Ava, Peyton, Sierra, Edison, Ike, Lincoln, Allie, Weston, Elizabeth, and Thomas; siblings: Donald (Judy) Johnson; Mary (Jim) Tyner; Arla (Jim) Horvath; Harland (Joanne) Grandy; Nancy (Allen) Ostdiek; Ron (Judy)Johnson; Jerry (Linda) Johnson; Duane (Mary Jo) Johnson; sister-in-law Joanne Johnson.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Patricia Hansen and brother Jim Johnson.
Visitation for Joan will be held at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, on Thursday August 22nd from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The funeral service for Joan will be held at New Life United Methodist Church, 721 Pleasant Way, Seymour on Friday, August 23rd at 11:00 AM with Pastor Diana Ziegler officiating. There will be additional visitation at church from 9:00 AM until the time of services. Interment at Highland Memorial Park Appleton.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Joan's name.
Joan's family would like to thank the staff of Brewster Village and ThedaCare Hospice for their compassionate care of Mom.
