Joanne M. Court, age 70, passed away unexpectedly Thursday morning, January 31, 2008. She was born June 29, 1937 in Green Bay, daughter of the late Leo and Clara (Landwehr) Schmit. On November 11, 1961 she was united in marriage to Edwin Court. He preceded her in death June 2, 1993. Joanne was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Navarino where she was very active in the church as a member if the Ladies Society and Care Ministry. She loved time spent with her grandchildren. She enjoyed playing the accordion, dominos, solitary and cribbage, baking and cooking a good meal of which she was the best at. Joanne looked forward to processing deer for her son.
Survivors include her children: Kenneth (Tina) Court, Seymour; Tom (Kelli) Court, Seymour; Ron (Debbie) Court, Pulaski; Debra (Carl) Hendzel, Pulaski; Ann (Joe) Bierhals, Bonduel; Mary Court, Pulaski; Joe (Lori) Court, Green Bay; 10 grandchildren; 1 brother, Donald (Judy) Schmit, Isaar; 1 sister-in-law, Dorothy Court, St. Cloud, MN.
Joanne was preceded in death by 1 grandson, Spunky.
Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour Sunday, February 3, 2008 from 4 PM until 8 PM with a prayer service at 7 PM. Visitation will continue on Monday, February 4, 2008 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Navarino from 9:30 AM until mass of Christian burial at 11AM with Father Theodore Hendricks and Sister Jane Riha officiating.
