MANSFIELD, JOHN A. SR. "PAT"

John A. "Pat" Mansfield Sr., age 71, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, November 11, 2010 at the Calumet Memorial Hospital.
He was born March 17, 1939, son of the late T.P. and Agnes (Prestrud) Mansfield. On March 30, 1985 he was united in marriage to Carol Mindel.
Pat worked at the Neenah Foundry for 37 years driving truck over the road retiring in 1998. He was Vice President of Union 121B. He presently was employed with Dairyland Labs, Arcadia. John was an Air Force Veteran, where he was an aircraft mechanic. Family was his life, hunting with his sons and grandsons was his favorite past time. He loved RVing, cooking and enjoyed HoDag every year. John was a member of Martin Luther Evangelical Lutheran Church in Neenah and the Moose Lodge of Appleton.
Survivors include his wife Carol, his children: John Jr. (Sandi) Mansfield, Appleton and their son, Joshua and his daughter, Isabella; Renee (David) Schroeder, Menasha and their children Amber and Nick; Troy (Kristin) Mansfield, Appleton and their children, Joseph (Eryn), and their son Cade, Alicia, Philip (Ashley) and Samuel; Jody (Jill) Mansfield, Menasha and their children Mckaylin, Jayci and Allie; one brother Bob (Julee) Mansfield, Neenah and their children Perry and Melissa and their families; mother-in-law, Winnie Mindel, Neenah; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Bob (Victoria) Mindel, Sherwood; Bill (Patty) Mindel, Neenah; Tim (Kathy) Wendt, Neenah; Steve (Debbie) Cottrell, Neenah; Joan Mindel, Greenville; Jim Thielman, West Bend; Godchild, Melissa Gerhartz; numerous nieces and nephews and his special dog, Bailey.
He was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Pat Thielman, and brother-in-law, Darrell Mindel.
Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour from 3 PM until 7 PM on Sunday, November 14, 2010 and on Monday, November 15, 2010 at Martin Luther Evangelical Lutheran Church, 436 South Lake Street, Neenah, from 11 AM until services at 1 PM with Pastor Jason Oakland officiating. You will be missed by so many. You were always there to help anyone who needed your help. You were the best husband, dad, grandpa, big brother and friend anyone could ask for. You lived life to the fullest. You will never be forgotten but will live on in our hearts forever.
