John Smith

John T. Smith, 59, of Green Bay, passed away Thursday, November 10, 2016 at his home, with his wife by his side. He was born February 9, 1957 in St. Albans, WV son of the late Arnold and Marcie (Cooley) Smith.
He served in the US Air Force from 1979 to 1983.
On October 17, 1981 he was united in marriage to Ann Melchert at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Seymour.
John received a bachelor of fine arts degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio in December of 1991.
He is survived by his wife, Ann; a sister, Jean (Jim) Jeffords, Georgetown, KY; nieces: Christy (Joel) Harambasic, Julie (Bill) Hamby, Lisa (Oscar) Hernandez, Sarah (Aaron) Pister; nephew, David Jeffords; mother-in-law, Jean Melchert; sister-in-law, Sarah Dreher; niece, Katie (Nick) Miller.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Carl Melchert; brother-in-law, Rev. Steve Dreher.
Friends may call at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Seymour, on Saturday, November 19, 2016 from 9:30 am until the memorial service at 11:00 am with Pastor Natalie Kramer-McComb officiating with military honors to follow.
