Jon Trost

Jon Douglas Trost, 66 of Seymour passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, May 4, 2024. He was born on September 19, 1957, son of the late Carl and Doris (Marsh) Trost.

He was united in marriage to Lynn King, on May 22, 1981 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Seymour.

Jon was a lifetime dairy farmer until health issues forced him to retire. When Jon retired, his son Tony took over the farm operation.

He enjoyed bowling on couples and men's leagues in his younger years. He was happiest deer hunting with his family and friends. Oh the stories and jokes. Jon was an avid Packer fan, and always looked forward to watching games with his family. He also enjoyed watching the Bucks and Brewers, as well as his fantasy football leagues.

He is survived by his wife, Lynn; children: Jessica Trost, Seymour, Tony Trost (special friend Lacey), Seymour; siblings: Sharon (Ronnie) VandenHeuvel, Oneida, Bill (Ginny) Trost, Green Bay, Steve (Linda) Trost, Seymour and Diane (John) Phillips, Iola; father-in-law, Leo King, Green Bay; brothers-in-law: Mark (Shannon) King, Crivitz, Tim (Paula) King, Green Bay, Pat King, Green Bay; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, many friends and neighbors.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Barbara Maass; mother-in-law, Eunice King; and his best dog, Maggie.

Visitation for Jon will take place at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm. On Thursday, May 9, 2024 visitation will continue at the funeral home from 9:00 am until the funeral service at 11:00 am with Pastor Ty Stoneburner officiating. Burial will take place at Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Seymour.
