Jonas Metoxen, Jr, age 73, of Oneida and formerly of Chicago, passed away on April 19, 2012. He was born May 19, 1938 to the late Jonas, Sr. and Mamie (Doxtator) Metoxen in Neenah.
Jonas enlisted in the US Navy in 1955. Following discharge from the Navy he married Allyson and she preceded him in death.
As a longtime resident of Chicago, Jonas was a Cubs and Bears fan and was well known for his dry sense of humor.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by several brothers, sisters, and other relatives.
Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, on Sunday, April 22, 2012 from 12 noon until services at 2 PM with Deacon Bobby Doxtator officiating and the Oneida Hymn Singers performing. Burial will take place at Holy Apostles Cemetery, Oneida.
