Joseph W. Hermes, 90, of Seymour, passed away Friday, March 27, 2015 at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home. He was born May 28, 1924, son of the late Alex and Emma (Sausen) Hermes.
Joe was a World War II Army Veteran and retired from Proctor and Gamble after 51 years of employment. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and trapping.
Survivors include, his brothers: Roland (Mary) Hermes and Vernon Hermes; sister-in-laws: Darlene Peterson and Jean Hermes; nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by a sister, Ann (Carl) Hock; brothers: Norbert (Barbara) Hermes, Merlin Peterson and Robert Hermes.
A celebration of Joe's life will be Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour from 6 p.m. until services at 7 p.m. with Deacon Rich Matuszak officiating. Online condolences may be expressed at
