Joseph L. Katch, Jr., age 82, passed away on Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at St. Mary's Hospital. He was born in Green Bay on April 21, 1939, to the late Joseph Sr. and Frances (Rucinski) Katch. Joseph was a 1957 graduate of Florence High School. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, and he proudly served his country from 1959-1962. Joe enjoyed his career as a semi driver, as he was able to drive all over the United States and Canada. He loved woodworking and was a handyman. Joe also enjoyed collecting clocks and he was a gifted baker.
He is survived by daughters: Pamela (Doug) Ritchie, Sandra (Charles Jr.) Potter, and Janean Kranzusch; four grandchildren: Jonathan (Autumn) Ritchie, Joshua (Shannon) Ritchie, Sarah (Justin) Sugden, and Charles Potter III (special friend, Cassie Frankovich); seven great-grandchildren: Elliott, Lillian, Selah, Ezekiel, Lucy, Alina, and Caelyn June; one sister, Regina (Robert) Goebel; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by one son-in-law, Glen Kranzusch.
Visitation will take place at Assembly of God Church, Seymour, on Wednesday, October 27, 2021, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m., Pastor Phil Engle officiating. Military honors by the Krause-Kraft-Mueller American Legion Post #106, Seymour. Burial will take place at Assumption B.V.M. Cemetery, Pulaski.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
The family extends a special thanks to the staffs of St. Mary's Hospital ICU and Unity Hospice for their compassionate care. Joe's greatest wish is that everyone would know Jesus as their personal savior, so they can spend eternity in heaven with him.
