Joyce P. Wickesberg, 59, Black Creek, died peacefully at the cabin in Shawano, her "happy place," surrounded by family on Saturday, September 19, 2020. She was born on November 26, 1960, to the late Carlton and Frances (Tuschl) Wickesberg. Joyce was a 1978 graduate of Seymour High School. She worked for Jansport for 26 years.
Joyce had a green thumb and enjoyed tending to her numerous flowers and house plants and she kept up a plentiful garden. She found tremendous joy in feeding the birds. Joyce found her peace while boating on Shawano Lake and spending time with her family at her cabin, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include the love of her life, Dean Barth; her daughter, Jessica (Erin) Walker; three grandchildren: TeKema (Megan Bentley) Balentine, Hannah Walker, and Owen Walker; two step-children: Eric (Amy) Barth, and Nicole Barth; three step-grandchildren: Tyler, Jacob, and Ellie Barth; her father-in-law, Eugene Barth; siblings: Dennis (Sally) Wickesberg, Donna Decker, Sandy (Walt) Hess, Steve Wickesberg, Sue Strebe, Byron (Amy) Wickesberg, Maxine (Tom) Metzner, Roger Wickesberg, and Joan (Dennis) Barth; step-siblings: Nancy (Gary) Pierce, Bonnie (Rick) Stoeger, David (Lisa) Barth, Dennis (Joan) Barth, Jodie (Tim) Murphy, and Dale (Dawn) Barth; her Godson, Brandon Barth; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Betty (nee Schmidt) Barth.
Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. until the time of services at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, September 28, 2020, Dcn. Rich Matuszak officiating.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
