Judith A. Severson, 78, Seymour, passed away early Saturday morning, April 11, 2015, at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home, Seymour. She was born in October of 1936, daughter of the late John and Ann (Christenson) Severson.
Judy was a graduate of Sturgeon Bay High School, a B.A. Degree from St. Olaf College and her Masters in Education from U.W. - Superior. She taught at Brussels High School, Sturgeon Bay Junior High and retired from Seymour School District as a Counselor.
She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Seymour, where she was a past Council President, a member of Concordia and Women of Emmanuel. Judy was a graduate of ELCA Lay School of Ministry, past Board Member of Woodside Lutheran Home. She is a member of the Seymour Woman's Club, Sons of Norway - Grannvik Lodge Green Bay. Judy was a member of the Outagamie County Retired Educators Association.
Special highlights of her life were trips to the Holy Land and Norway. During her trip to Norway, the tour bus passed through Ringsaker, Norway, where her maternal great-grandparents, Evan and Olena Larson, immigrated to the U.S.
Survivors include her sister, Jean Severson; the children and grandchildren of her late brother Robert Severson; and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert.
Friends may call at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Seymour on Tuesday, April 14, 2015, from 10:00 a.m. until services at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Roland Lindeman officiating.
