Juliann “Julie” A. Luniak, 80, of Green Bay, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 11, 2019, after a long courageous battle with a rare medical health condition. Julie was born in Oshkosh, WI on December 31, 1938, daughter of the late Julius and Dora (Steinke) Korth.
On November 10, 1962, she was united in marriage to Kenneth Luniak. Julie worked for 31 years for Shopko stores until retirement in 1998. Prior to that she worked for John Nero Restaurant. She graduated from Clintonville High School in 1956.
Julie was a member of Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church for 31 years. She excelled in bowling in her earlier years and bowled regularly for the Shopko bowling team. She enjoyed spending time with her special great-grandchildren. She watched all Packer games and Nascar Races. She also enjoyed country music and Dancing with the Stars!
Julie is survived by her husband, Ken; daughters: Connie (Dave) Prothero, Navarino; Tammy Morris, Green Bay; grandchildren: Matt De Muth (special friend, Juana), Mike De Muth (special friend, Melissa), Melony (Jed) Doepker; great-grandchildren: Madison, Hailey, Kaleb, Candias, Bryson, Calvin, Keegan and Vayda; sister, Donna Burns; sister-in-law, Carol Aldinger; many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, sister, Yvonne Henrickson; father and mother-in-law, John and Clara Luniak; brothers and sisters-in-law: Erv Henrickson, Carl Burns, Gordon (Florence) Neuman, Lee (Florence) Neuman and brother-in-law, Karl Aldinger.
Service of Remembrance will be Wednesday, July 17, 2019, at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour at 4:00 pm. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2:00 pm until the time of service at 4:00 pm. Burial will take place in Union Cemetery, Navarino.
