Juta Barbara Maria Bucki, 65, Shiocton, our beloved mother, passed away on Monday, November 30, 2020, after a brief illness. She was born September 20, 1955, in Germany, the daughter of Erwin and Maria (Kurz) Winzenholer. Juta was a 1971 graduate of Wertheim High School in Germany. She later attended Wuerzburg College in Germany.
Juta met David Bucki, Sr., while he was stationed in Germany while serving in the U.S. Army. She was united in marriage with David on July 13, 1977 in Copenhagen Denmark, and the couple had two children. They lived in Germany for a few years before moving to the United States. After 25 years of marriage, they divorced.
Juta was employed as an assistant manager at Don's Quality Market in Seymour for many years. She later owned and operated White Birch Tap. Lastly, Juta owned and operated a crocheting business out of her home, which was both her passion and livelihood. She especially loved watching her grandchildren and adopted grandchildren.
She is survived by one daughter, Michaela Winzenholer, Germany; two sons: David Bucki, Jr., Cecil, and Robert Bucki (Heather Douglas), Shiocton; eight grandchildren: Sara, Lara, Brody, Connor, Wayne, Emma, Megan, and Erin; her parents; siblings: Franz, Hartmut, Jurgen, Doris, Erika, Erwin, Peter, Hans, Monka; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Due to COVID, private services will be held.
The family extends a special thanks to the staff of Cherry Meadows Hospice for their patient and compassionate care.
