Karl W. Munger, 89, of Seymour passed away on Christmas day, Sunday, December 25, 2016 at Good Shepherd Nursing Home. He was born July 3, 1927 a son of the late Elmer and Doris (Droeger) Munger.
On July 3, 1951 he was united in marriage to Ione Kumpf, having celebrated 65 years of marriage.
He retired from Alto Cheese in Black Creek in 1989.
Karl was an early traditional archer. He also enjoyed trout fishing and was very passionate of the outdoors. In his retirement Karl helped maintain the rifle range in Shiocton and was recognized for his volunteering.
In addition to his wife, Ione he is survived by his children: Lynn (Sue) Munger, Gordon (Sue) Munger, and Kathleen Munger; 3 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren: sister-in-law, Theresa Munger; also survived nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by a grandchild, Sonny Stueber; two brothers: Morton and Elmer.
