Katherine G. Stedjee, age 84, died Saturday, March 3, 2012 at Evergreen Nursing Home in Shawano, WI. She was born on June 23, 1927 to the late Tom and Emma (Segebrecht) Wilkinson in the Town of Maine.
Kate was the loving wife of Owen C. Stedjee for 47 years prior to his passing on November 15, 1995.
She and her husband Owen farmed near Nichols and Katie worked at the Nichols Paper Mill until retirement.
Katie enjoyed playing cards and traveling with Owen in her younger years. She was a member of the Nichols Homemakers, Birthday Club and Missionary Society at Immanuel Lutheran Church, making countless quilt tops.
She is survived by her children: Janice (Darrell) Beyer, Hortonville; Bill (Kathy) Stedjee, Bonduel; Darlene (John) Boettcher, Bonduel; and David (fiance Cindy Janita), Shawano; grandchildren: Travis Stedjee, Luke (Heidi) Stedjee, Christy (Scott) Glysch, Jill (Bill) Schultz, Seth Boettcher, Paul (Sara) Boettcher, Tanya Janita; great grandchildren: Hannah and Ervin Stedjee, Carter and Sidney Stedjee, Brady, Lily, and Jonah Glysch, Noah Schultz; sister Margie Wilber; sister-in-law Nancy Wilkinson; and brother-in-law Bill Bruns. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, husband Owen, mother and father-in-law Andrew and Bertha Stedjee, Katie was preceded in death by three brothers: Tom, John, and Francis Wilkinson; five sisters: Margaret Wilkinson, Mildred Larson, Marion Olson, Mabel Olson, and Nora Conradt; sisters-in-law: Pearl Wilkinson, Esther Wilkinson, and Nora Bruns; brothers-in-law: Kenneth Larson, George Olson, Edwin Olson, Avery Wilber, and Webb Conradt.
Friends may call at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Cicero, on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 from 9 AM until services at 11 AM with Pastor Ty Stoneburner officiating. Burial will take place at Union Cemetery, Town of Lessor.
