On Tuesday, March 4, 2025 after a difficult journey, Ken reached his eternal rest with the help, care and love of family, friends, Shepherd's Inn and Unity Hospice.
Ken was born June 30, 1941, in Green Bay to Ed and Florida Olsen. He grew up in Ashwaubenon and Seymour graduating from Seymour High School in 1959. He served as an Army Reservist for six years. In 1961, he married the love of his life, Judy, youngest daughter of Ben and Gertie Moes.
He was a hard worker who enjoyed a good cigar, an occasional pony of beer or a brandy and a lively polka at a wedding dance. He had many jobs throughout his life but he was most proud of being a farmer. He and Judy purchased the family farm from Ben and Gertie in 1969 and continued to farm until retiring in 2004. With love, this farm is still run by family.
Ken was a devoted family man who had great pride in his children, his grandchildren, and especially his great-granddaughters. He is survived by his wife, Judy; children: Kim (Craig) Melotte, Kelly (Greg) Cieslewicz, Ben (RaeAnn) Olsen; grandchildren: Erin Cieslewicz, Raymond Melotte, Megan (Kyle) Marcks, Philip Melotte, Bennie Olsen, Alanna Cieslewicz, Annette (Brandon) Lucht, Evelyn (Tyler) Olson; and great-granddaughters: Nadia, Lucy, Mabel, with the fourth one due in April. Further survived by a brother, Larry Olsen; an uncle, Ron (Erma) Olsen; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents and in-laws, Ken was predeceased by a son: Tony Olsen; a brother: Tom Olsen; three sisters: Linda Olson, Christy Biersteker and Terri Olsen.
