Kenneth "Ziggy" Ziegler, age 91 went to his heavenly home on Sunday, December 15, 2024 after a brief illness. He was born on November 30, 1933 to the late Edward and Linda (Plamann) Ziegler.
His commitment to the Lord and Savior was evident in many ways. He was a faithful and active member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in the town of Center. Family and friends were everything to Ziggy! He embraced life and brought joy to all who knew him.
Ziggy proudly served in the Armed Forces and loved his country. He married Lorraine (Parker) Ziegler on November 14, 1982. Ziggy was a hard worker all his life, from doing chores on the family farm as a boy during the depression, to construction, owning the world famous Ziggy's Bar in Mackville and co-owning a carpet business with his son. Ziggy was at the grand opening of his favorite supper club, Five Corners, and continued to enjoy meeting friends and family there until it closed 69 years later. Everyone knew if Ziggy was in the room! In his retirement years, Ziggy was always active with home improvement projects and fixing up his yard.
Ziggy is survived by his wife, Lorraine Parker Ziegler; son, Scott (Julie) Ziegler; his brother, Philip (Bev) Ziegler; and his four step-children: Daniel (Julie) Parker, Julie Parker, William (Dawn) Parker, and Lynn Parker Holeton. He is also survived by his 11 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
