Kirk Nutt

Kirk D. Nutt, age 69 of the town of Maine, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on Saturday, December 28, 2024. He was born on October 26, 1955 in Minnesota to the late George and Betty (DeMarre) Nutt.

Kirk was united in marriage to Becky Kelley on July 12, 1980. Becky preceded him in death on March 30, 2017.

He attended Northwood Technical College and earned a degree in mechanics. Kirk worked for Scott Marcks Trucking for many years.

He enjoyed getting together with friends and family. Kirk frequently had his guitar in his hands playing music with friends. Some of his favorite times were spent at Fox Landing in Grantsburg camping with his family. Most of all he loved the time spent with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his sons: Doug (Lacy) Nutt, Dan (Laura) Nutt, Dylan Nutt, and Derek Nutt; four grandchildren: Lila Sue, Lucy Lynn, Leo Daniel, and Becky Evelyn; and a brother, Daniel (Carla) Nutt. He is further survived by her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Teri Nutt, Kathy (Terry) Zimmerman, Janet Wood, Nancy Kelley, Dawn Kelley, Cheryl Kelley, Tom (Peggy) Kelley, Don Kelley, Jim (Cherie) Kelley, Bob (Sheryl) Kelley, and Ron (Joe) Kelley; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Becky Nutt; brother, George Nutt; brothers-in-law: John Kelley, Jim Wood, and Mike Kelley.

A celebration of Kirk's life will be held at a later date.
