La Verne Muenster

La Verne C Muenster (Schroeder), age 91, of Seymour passed away on Friday October 25th, 2024. She was born October 13, 1933 in Chilton, WI, the daughter of the late George and Martha (Hintz) Schroeder. On June 22, 1957 she was united in marriage to George Muenster in the town of Chilton. La Verne farmed in the town of Osborn with her husband George until their retirement. La Verne was a lifelong member of the Freedom Moravian Church. La Verne was a avid reader, baker and seamstress. She enjoyed taking care of her family and her church family. She loved cheering for the Brewers and Packers; everyone knew to not bother her during a game.

She is survived by her children: Lynne Behnke, Nancy (Mike) Land, and Patti (Ron) Dombrowski; nine grandchildren: Erin, Derek, Janel, Craig, Jenny, Ryan, Jon, Kelly and Toni; and 18 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her sister-in-law Barb Muenster.

She was preceded in death by her husband George, son-in-law Donny, siblings Delmar (the late Delores) Schroeder, Verona (the late Lester) Plate, Marcella (the late Edward) Federwitz, George (the late Janice) Schroeder, Gerald (the late Darlene) Schroeder; in-laws Dorothy (the late Robert) Mueller, John (the late Delores) Muenster, Helen (the late Art) Hehnke, Alice (the late Melvin) Brusewitz, Marion (the late Emery) Brockman and Victor Muenster.

The visitation for La Verne will be held on Friday November 1st, 2024, at the Freedom Moravian Church, W3457 Center Valley Rd. Freedom, from 9:00 AM until the services at 11:00 AM with Pastor Greg Behrend officiating. Entombment will be at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. La Verne's family would like to thank the staff at ThedaCare Appleton ICU for their care and concern for mom during her stay. La Verne's family is also thankful for Pastor Greg for his prayers and spiritual guidance during the last few weeks of her illness.
