LaRose J. VandenLangenberg, 94, passed away Saturday evening, Feb. 20, 2016, at Shepherd Inn in Seymour, with her family by her side.
She was born July 4, 1921, daughter of Christopher (Ed) and Mae (Fries) Mullen. She graduated from Nicolet High School in West De Pere in 1939. On April 28, 1941, she married Bernard L. VandenLangenberg, who preceded her in death April 19, 1990.
LaRose always thought of others before herself, and she put her faith and family first. She will be remembered for nourishing us, not just with food, but with kindness and good humor.
She is survived by five sons Don and Ardis, Glen and Brenda, Ed and Julie, Tom and Lisa, and Rob and Brenda VandenLangenberg; eight daughters Patricia and David Andrews, Jeanette and Rich Dunks, Bernice and Bob Beaudoin, Karen and Don Lambert, Mary Kay and Jim Cleven, Lynn VandenLangenberg and Dave Cluckey, Michele and Don Butter, Amy and Scott Bartelme; 27 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her brother Ken Mullen and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three grandchildren, Keith, Michaela and Amanda; one sister Jean and Rich Vandehei; three brothers Roman and Myrtle, Emmett and Lucille, Eben and Gert Mullen, and her brother's wife Elsie Mullen; her husband's brothers Pete and Leonada, Lambert and Rose, Harold and Anna, Norb and Leona, and Jim and Dorothy VandenLangenberg; and sisters Marion and Leonard Seidl and Lucille and Elroy Neuman.
Friends may call at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Seymour on Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2016, from 3 p.m. until the funeral Mass at 6:30 p.m. with Father Brian Belongia officiating.
