Larry Schroeder

Larry L. Schroeder, 63, Seymour, passed away peacefully at home with his family at his side on Thursday, February 2, 2023. He was born during a snow storm on March 6, 1959, to the late Ludwig and Fern (Schmit) Schroeder. Larry was a 1977 graduate of Seymour High School.

He started working at Melchert Brothers Garage in 1976, where he received training to become a certified automotive technician. Larry later worked for Gustman in Seymour, and ended his career at Gustman Subaru in Appleton. He always enjoyed fixing cars, farm equipment, and woodworking. Larry was happy to help his neighbors. He also attended farm toy shows in his spare time. Larry liked spending time on his lawnmower and skidsteer.

Survivors include his significant other of 32 years, Glenda Strong; step-children: Stacey Strong, Shane (Melissa) Strong, Sara (Dale) Hallam, and Tyler Strong; step-grandchildren: Sophia, Abigail, and Nathan Strong; siblings: Carol Schroeder-Puzen, Sandy (Bruce) Piette, Yvonne "Evie" (Rick) Haws, and Tim (Laurie) Schroeder; his Godson, Nathan Schroeder; his Goddaughter, Rhonda Holl; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Larry was preceded in death by his Godson/nephew, Jason; and his niece, Rebecca.

Visitation will take place at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 9, 2023. Visitation continues at the funeral home on Friday, February 10, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m., Pastor Ty Stoneburner officiating. The family requests that guests remember Larry by dressing casually if you wish.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.

The family extends a special thanks to Vikki Hallam for her compassion and help with his care, as well as the staff of Unity Hospice and his healthcare team. Also, a heartfelt thank you to Gustman Subaru for their flexibility during Larry's illness.
