Larry Rohloff

April 15, 1939 — September 8, 2017

Larry Gene Rohloff, 78, of Black Creek, lost his valiant battle against cancer on Friday morning, September 8, 2017, at his home with his loving family by his side. He was born April 15, 1939, son of the late Earl and Dorothy (Beyer) Rohloff. On February 12, 1961, he was united in marriage to Janet Behrendt.
Larry was a life-long active member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Black Creek where one of his many duties was serving as custodian for 30 years. On April 15, 2000, he retired from Outagamie Co. Hwy. Dept. after over 40 years of service as a heavy equipment operator.
Larry was a 1957 graduate of Seymour High School and attended Lakeland College where he played football. He was an avid sports fan, following the Packers, Badgers, golf on T.V. and especially Seymour basketball. He and Jan traveled after his retirement and loved time spent with his family and grandchildren, hunting, fishing, cherry picking in Door County, camping, being outdoors, and making his yard look beautiful.
He is survived by his wife, Janet; children: Jeffrey (Cindy) Rohloff, Black Creek, and their daughter, Keri (Augustine) Duenas and their children: Kassidy and Nathaniel; David Rohloff, Shiocton; Mike (Connie) Rohloff, Seymour, and their sons, Brandon and Trevor; sister, Judy (Layne) Carlson, Hortonville; sister-in-law, Marjorie Engel, Bonduel.
Larry is preceded in death by his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Stanley and Hazel Behrendt; sister-in-law and brothers-in-law: Audrey (George) Behrendt and John Engel.
