Our dear mother and grandmother, LaVonne Jean (Strutz) Veitch left this earth for a better place on Wednesday, March 31. Known as Jean to family and friends, she was born October 7, 1936 to Albert and Minnie (Eick) Strutz. She attended Seymour High School and graduated in 1954. Except for 6 years when she lived in Horicon and Beaver Dam with her husband and children, Jean was a life-long resident of Seymour, Wisconsin. She met John Veitch while in high school and they married on April 12, 1958. She was employed by Truyman-Haase insurance until she retired in 1995.
Jean enjoyed her home, her dog Chewy, her beloved grandchildren, knitting afghans, and reading.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Julie and Arlyn Busch, and her 3 grandchildren, Jeremy Busch, California; Sgt. Jason Busch and SGT Joshua Busch, Ft. Campbell, Kentucky.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Minnie; her son, Jeffrey; and her husband, John.
Friends may call at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Seymour on Wednesday, April 7, 2010 from 4 PM until funeral service at 6 PM with Reverend Roland Lindeman officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery. Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour is assisting the family.
