23 weeks. We were getting so close to viability, but God had other plans for our sweet GIRLS! We welcomed our babies into this world Easter morning, just long enough to hold and comfort them and say our goodbyes on April 9, 2023.
Penelope "Nelli" Delores and Lennox "Lenni" Helen each weighed roughly 1lb 3oz and were just shy of 11" long. They were small, but oh so fierce.
These girls took us on a crazy, adventurous rollercoaster of emotions over the last several months, but the only thing we would change about this situation is having them here in person with us and their big brother. The rest of the blips and bumps in the road were just a part of their journey. They made a big impression on a lot of people in the short time we knew them.
These girls needed a little more time to grow and we'll never know why they weren't given it, but we're thankful for the time we did have with them and we know having so many people who loved them helped to get us as far as we did and they will certainly never be forgotten.
We are beyond grateful for the love, prayers, and support we've received from our family and friends the last several months. Each of your words and prayers were appreciated and did not go unnoticed.
Until we meet again, we know they're safe in the arms of Jesus and our friends and family who have gone to heaven before us.
We'll love you forever, sweet girls! Rest in paradise.
"Nelli" and "Lenni" will forever be missed by their parents, Nathan and Ashley Hofacker; big brother, Kayden; grandparents: Mark and Sherry Lange, Steve Zeh, Joe and Lorrie Hofacker. Also survived by aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A private service will take place in honor of our precious little girls.
Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, is assisting the family with arrangements.
