Leon A. Defferding, age 66, of the Town of Center passed away Thursday, August 21, 2014 at his home. He was born October 12, 1947 a son of the late Lawrence and Laura (Vick) Defferding.
Following graduation from Seymour High School Leon worked on the family dairy farm with his father and continued to operate the farm until his retirement.
Leon was a member of the two cylinder tractor club and was also a collector of John Deere engines. He enjoyed going to the various tractor shows and county fairs in the area.
He is survived by two sisters: Beverly (Hugo) Graper, Clintonville; Ruth Young, Naples, FL; nephews: David (Mary) Graper, Randy (Lois) Graper, Steven (Cathie) Young, Darrell Young; niece, Laurie (Richard) Mackert; sister-in-law, Eileen Defferding; further survived by other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Leon was preceded in death by a brother, Earl Defferding.
Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour on Monday, August 25, 2014 from 11:30 am until services at 1 pm with Pastor Mark Schwinn officiating. Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery in Appleton.
