Leonard O. Maufort, age 87, passed away on March 27, 2021.
Leonard was born on September 23, 1933, son of Orville and Elizabeth (Cory) Maufort.
Leonard married Elizabeth "Betty" Schreurs on April 19, 1955 in Wrightstown.
He was a Korean War Veteran and belonged to the 101st Airborne.
He was a lifelong farmer in Black Creek, WI and was proud of his registered Ayrshire Cows. Leonard worked and retired from Allis Chalmers rock crushing division and making paper machines.
Leonard enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and bowling with good friends. He enjoyed spending time with family, wood working and his pumpkin patch.
He is survived by wife, Betty Maufort; children: Richard (Cindy) Maufort of De Pere; Russell (Julie) Maufort of Appleton, Christine Spranger of Greenville; and Mary Maufort of Appleton; grandchildren: Rikki, Toni, Stephanie, Richard Jr., Justin, Tara, Michelle, Laura, Nicole, and Eric; 20 great-grandchildren; sister, Jean Nohr; and other family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Beatrice Maufort; brother, Joseph Maufort; and grandson Steven Maufort.
Friends may call at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Black Creek on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at 9:00 am with the Funeral Mass at 11:00 am with Father Dave Greskowiak officiating. Duhm-Masch American Legion Post #332, Black Creek, will provide Military Service Honors.
