LeRoy Francis Henn

LeRoy Francis Henn, age 82, passed away on July 31, 2010 at Park Manor Nursing Home, Park Falls, Wisconsin. He was born March 31, 1928 son of the late Frank and Floris (Maass) Henn where he grew up on the farm.

LeRoy joined the army on November 8, 1954 and served his country until October 9, 1956. He is a member of the Glidden VFW Post 7300.

He met the love of his life, Mary Ann (Hoffman) and they married on February 15, 1958.
He worked for Appleton Papers and spent many happy hours at their cottage on Augustine Lake in Glidden, WI before retiring and moving into town.

He was blessed with three children, all of whom survive him. Mark (Connie) Henn of Phillips, WI; Shirley (Brian) Benedict and Gary Henn all of Colorado. He had five grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and one step-great-grandson.

He is also survived by his brother, Carl (Carolyn) Henn, Black Creek, WI and two sisters, Joyce Kramer of Kimberly, WI and Alice (Rodney) Malkoff of Kokomo, IN. He was preceded in death by both parents.

LeRoy was an avid gardener and was happy to share his lovely flowers and his tasty vegetables with his many friends and family. He enjoyed traveling and loved watching the birds and other wildlife that visited his feeders. Our beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend will be truly missed and will always be remembered for his kindness.

Friends may call at St. Sebastian Catholic Church, Isaar, on Friday, August 6, 2010 from 9 AM until mass of christian burial at 11 AM with Fr. Bob Kabat officiating.
