Leroy Schmit
March 29, 1923 — April 11, 2011
LeRoy A. Schmit, age 88, passed away Monday morning, April 11, 2011 at Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Seymour. He was born March 29, 1923, son of the late Albert & Alvina (Wilson) Schmit.
On April 25, 1943 he was united in marriage to Erdine Steffen. The couple spent 57 years together before her death on December 29, 1999.
LeRoy was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church. He farmed his entire life in the Town of Seymour.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Nancy (Curtiss) Mueller, Seymour; two grandchildren, David (Tina) Seymour and Wendy (Don) Verhasselt, De Pere; four great-grandchildren: Marc, Jake, Kyle and Autumn.
Friends may call at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Seymour on Thursday, April 14, 2011 from 9 AM until services at 11 AM with Pastor Roland Lindeman officiating. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery.
