Loren A. LeBlanc, age 84, of Seymour passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at Good Shepherd Nursing Home. He was born July 30, 1940 in Rossway, Digby County, Nova Scotia, Canada at his grandparents' home, Edna and Loren Banks.
He moved to Wayland, Mass. with his family in 1951, then to Guildford, Conn. where he lived in the area until moving to Wisconsin in 1999.
Loren loved to sing classic country music. He had his own band in Conn., "The Country Wildcats". He sang in nursing homes in northeast Wisconsin for many years. Yodeling was his specialty.
He served in the US Army from 1963-1969 and the National Guard from 1974-1984. He was an Honor Guard member at Arlington National Cemetery for President John F. Kennedy's funeral. He was proud to become a US Citizen in 1968.
Loren was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Helen Kent LeBlanc; mother, Helen Geiss; father, Herman LeBlanc; sister, Myrna Jo Whitteaker; step-brother, John Geiss; and step-father, Robert Geiss.
He is survived by his sister, Gloria (Jim) Krause; daughter, Denise Roberts; brother, Peter Geiss; son, Loren LeBlanc, Jr.; grandchildren: Rebecca (Ken), Andrew, and Loren III; great-grandchildren: Vivian and Nayeli. Also survived by step-sons: Terry (Vickie) Kent and Jim (Mary) Kent; many step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. Loren was also loved by many nieces and nephews, dear neighbors, and friends.
The family would like to thank the staff at Good Shepherd for the wonderful care given to Loren in his final month.
