Lori Ann King, age 53, of Seymour, passed peacefully and surrounded by family in the early morning of Tuesday, May 14, 2024 after a nearly 15 year uphill battle with Breast Cancer.
Lori was born on October 1, 1970 to Raphael "Ray" and Barbara "Becky" Rottier in Green Bay. After Lori graduated from Seymour Community School District, she went on to found Lori King Trucking in 2005 and Steel Works Metal Fabrication in 2014 in partnership with her husband.
Lori was united in marriage to her soulmate Russell "Russ" King on June 17, 2000. Lori and Russ bonded over motorcycle rides and Geno's Steakhouse dates. Along with Russ came a bonus daughter, Breanna, before having two more, Danielle and Jacki. As their children grew, so did their love. Their dedication and loyalty was something to be looked up to and admired by all.
She enjoyed spending time with her family above all else. She created a kingdom that deeply valued laughing together over grilled steaks and supporting everyone's endeavors of barrel races, soccer games, dance competitions, and construction site lunches. Lori loved planning family excursions -- her family cherished her spontaneous ideas and unpredictable plans; always making beautiful memories together. In addition to her family, Lori loved Harley-Davidson motorcycles, the color purple, anything chocolate, and Olive Garden's soup and salad.
She is survived by her husband, Russ King; daughters Breanna, Danielle (special friend Kaleb), and Jacki; mother, Becky Rottier; sister, Lynn (Jerry) Zegers; brothers, Roy (Crystal) Rottier, Rick (Karyn) Rottier, Scott Rottier, and Kelly (Karen) Rottier; nephews Seth, Brian, Joel, Troy, Bret, and Alex; nieces, Michelle, Emily, Kristen, and Lauren.
She was preceded in death by her father Ray Rottier.
Visitation will take place at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, on Saturday May 18th, 2024 from 9:00 AM until the time of service at 12 Noon. Interment to follow at South Cicero Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund in Lori's name is being established.
