Lorraine Kadlec

December 16, 1930 — October 29, 2022

Lorraine Ann Kadlec, 91, Seymour, passed away peacefully with her family at her side at Kewaunee Care Center in Kewaunee on Saturday, October 29, 2022. She was born December 16, 1930, to the late Thomas and Catherine (Taylor) Christiansen. Lorraine was a graduate of West High School in Green Bay. Lorraine was united in marriage to Wayne Kadlec in 1952, and the couple raised four children. Wayne preceded Lorraine in death on September 16, 2018.

Lorraine was a phenomenal cook and was a perfectionist as a homemaker. She always supported her children's, grandchildren's, and great-grandchildren's endeavors, and Lorraine never missed any of their sporting activities. She had fond memories of going to Wisconsin Dells with her family and her "two bonus grandchildren."

Lorraine was an avid card player, belonged to a mother-daughter card group for over 25 years, and she always played cards with her grandchildren over the years. She loved spending time at the casino, listening to country music, and dancing with her "favorite guy" of 66 years. Lorraine also enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers and having Packers parties.

Survivors include three children: John (Melissa) Kadlec, Pamela (Fran Timm) Kadlec, and Debra (Wayne) Roffers; one daughter-in-law, Jackie Marbes; 13 grandchildren: Joseph, John, Samuel, Emily, and Noel Kadlec; Greg Timm, Otis (Susan) Timm, and Jesse (Nicki) Timm; Chad (Tammy) Roffers, Luke (Megan) Roffers, and Jed Roffers; Amanda (Jeremy) Dickinson and Samantha (Austin) Eastridge; 18 great-grandchildren; one brother-in-law, Buddy (Ann) Kadlec; and one sister-in-law, Karen Kadlec; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband, Lorraine was preceded in death by one son, Danny Kadlec; two infant daughters: Lori and Shelly Kadlec; and one great-grandson, Dane Roffers; six siblings; and numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

A celebration of life for Lorraine will take place in 2023.

The family extends a special thanks to John and Melissa Kadlec and their five children, and her furry friend, Lily, for always keeping a watchful eye on mom. Also, a heartfelt thanks to the staffs of Kewaunee Care Center, Unity Hospice, and Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home for their care and compassion. Lorraine will greatly miss her roommate, Diane, from Kewaunee Care Center.
