Louisa Schwalbach, age 88, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at ThedaCare Medical Center in Appleton.
Louisa was born on August 3, 1934 to William and Gertrude (Balgheim) Flessert.
On January 30, 1960, she was united in marriage to Delmar "Del" Schwalbach, having celebrated 59 years of marriage. He preceded her in death on September 11, 2019.
Louisa was a faithful member at Freedom Moravian Church where she was very active with the Mary and Martha Circle, along with the annual chili suppers and rummage sales.
She enjoyed reading romance novels, watching the Hallmark channel, was a creative pie maker, stained glass artwork, and many other crafts.
She is survived by her children: Victoria (John) Tasch, Ned (Sherri) Schwalbach, and Mark (Lynn) Schwalbach; five grandchildren: Lisa (Kurtis) Ambrosius, Eric, Amber, Elizabeth, and Riley Schwalbach; three great-granddaughters: Ella, Saddie, and Olivia; sister, LoAnn (Gary) Schwartz; and brother, David (Peggy) Flessert. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
In addition to her husband, Louisa was preceded in death by her son, Dan Schwalbach; two brothers-in-law: Harold (Edna) and Melvin Schwalbach; three sisters-in-law: Alice (Robert) Fumal, Marion (Byron) Scott, and Bernice Schwalbach.
A graveside service will take place on Friday, September 16, 2022 at Community Lutheran Cemetery, French Road, Freedom at 11:00 am with Pastor James Heroux officiating.
