Louise Archiquette, age 92, passed away Thursday, December 30, 2010 in Green Bay. She was born July 7, 1918 in Nashville, Tennessee, daughter of the late William and Gertrude (Hatfield) Elam.
On January 7, 1946 she was united in marriage to Milton Archiquette. The couple enjoyed 24 years of marriage prior to his death on December 16, 1968. She was a member of the Oneida Assembly of God.
Survivors include her 5 daughters: Rose Marie Melchert, Oneida; Ruth Montano, Oneida; Neva Archiquette, Green Bay; Mary Ann Archiquette, Michigan; Jeanette (Robert) Ninham, Oneida; 15 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; 2 sisters-in-law, Dorothy Yealey, DePere; Catherine Armstrong, White House, TN; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son Milton Jr., half brothers: Billy (Neta) Elam and Robert (Charlotte) Elam; sisters: Edna (James) Owens and twin sister, Lucille Whited; step-son, Richard (Hannah) Archiquette, step-brother Lavester Armstrong, step-mother Mattibelle.
Friends may call at Assembly of God Church, Oneida on Monday, January 3, 2011 from 9 AM until services at Noon with Pastor Lonnie Johnson officiating, with the Oneida Singers. Burial will be in the Assembly of God Cemetery. Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour is assisting the family.
