Black Creek
Louise L. Shaw, 98, passed away Monday afternoon, October 22, 2007, at Franciscan Care Center in Appleton. She was born July 6, 1909, daughter of the late Conrad and Sophie (Schumacher) Schwab. On May 20, 1931 she was united in marriage to Edward "Bub" Shaw at the home of Pastor Emil Redlin in the Town of Ellington. The couple celebrated 68 years together. He preceded her in death November 10, 1999. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Black Creek and a life long member of the Ladies Aid. Louise was a Postal Clerk in Black Creek for 37 years. She enjoyed gardening. Everyone's favorite was her canned raspberries, pickles and tomato juice. She was a loving Grandmother, packing bologna sandwiches was the grandchildren's favorite lunch when they went fishing. Louise loved going to her daughter's, eating a home cooked meal and watching the fish in the pond and playing with dogs Pagoda and Bostyn. On October 7, 2007 was special to her when she met her 10 week old great-granddaughter, Emma Grace for the first time.
Survivors include: her daughter, Nancy (Terry) Wunderlich of Appleton and their children: Chad (Carrie); Matthew (special friend Megan); Adam and Tami Wunderlich; son-in-law, LeRoy J. Shaw, Clearwater, FL; and his children: Thomas (Jacque) Shaw; Deborah (Alan) Kuerbitz; Kathy (Mark) Belviso; Susan (Eddie) Hudson-Herzog; great-grandchildren: Jeremy Shaw; Adam (Marcela) Shaw; Michael Lucia; Shawna and Kayle Kennedy; Lauren and Brian Belviso; Carol Ann Hudson and Emma Grace Wunderlich. A great-great-grandchild will be born in November. Her favorite dogs Shavano, Pogoda and Bostyn. Her special friends|: Esther Grunwaldt and Ruth Gehrke, neices and nephews.
She was preceded in death by: a daughter, Carol Jean Shaw; babies, Jane and Edward; one brother, Edward Schwab and a sister, Leona Wendt.
Friends may call at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Black Creek from 9 AM until funeral services at 11 AM, on Friday, October 26, 2007 with Pastor John Brandt officiating. A memorial fund has been established for Immanuel Lutheran Church.
The family would like to express their appreciation for the care given to Mom by the staff and Unit 1 at Franciscan Care. Also, a special thank you to Dr. Faudree and prayers and visitations given by Pastor Brandt.
