Lowell "Blackie" C. Luebke, 91, of De Pere, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at Good Shepherd Nursing Home. He was born March 13, 1924, son of the late Carl and Louise (Kirchner) Luebke. On September 25, 1946, he was united in marriage to Lorraine Mastey at Assumption B.V.M. Church in Pulaski.
Lowell owned and operated a farm in Laney for many years. He served as Town Clerk for the Town of Maple Grove, Deputy Building Inspector for Shawano County, served on the drainage board and ASC Dept. of Agriculture. He enjoyed helping people. He moved to Seymour in 1983 and later moved to De Pere in 2001. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Community Church in, De Pere.
He is survived by his wife, Lorraine; daughter, Cheryl (Ed) Phillips, De Pere; two sons: Robert (Linda) Luebke, Oconto Falls; Gary (Kathy) Luebke, Pulaski; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and step-grandchildren; one sister, June Boettcher, Seymour.
Lowell is preceded in death by his son, Jim, and one brother, Wesley; and, brother-in-law, Norman Boettcher.
Friends may call at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 4805 Sportsman Dr. De Pere on Monday, October 26, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. until the funeral mass at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Judah Pigon M.F. officiating.
