Lucille Schumacher

March 23, 1942 — August 31, 2011

Lucille "Toots" Schumacher, age 69, of Freedom, passed away Wednesday morning, August 31, 2011 at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Appleton. She was born on March 23, 1942, daughter of the late Leo and Mary (Truyman) Noe.

She graduated from Seymour High School in 1960. On September 17, 1960 she was united in marriage to Bernard Schumacher and the couple celebrated over 50 years of marriage. Luci was a long time member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Freedom.

Luci was a devoted mother and farmer's wife. She enjoyed cooking, canning, baking, sewing, and anything involving crafts. She really enjoyed playing sheepshead, dancing, traveling, sleigh rides, and going to the casino. Luci loved having parties with family and friends, especially Christmas gatherings.

In 2007 she retired from McCain Foods.

She was survived by her husband Bernard, and her children: Sheryl (Russ) Nieland, Little Chute; Dawn Waterman, Kansas; Scott Schumacher, Little Chute; Jodi (Francis) Lamers, Little Chute; Beth (Paul) Olp, Pulaski; Heather Schumacher, Appleton; 16 grandchildren; sister, Karen Coenen, Little Chute; brother, Richard Noe, Chilton. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Staci Lee, brother, Ronald, niece and god child Kerry, and special grandparents August and Madelyn Truyman.

Friends may call on Saturday, September 3, 2011 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Freedom, from 9:00 am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 noon with Fr. Dave Hoffman officiating. Entombment will take place at Highland Memorial Park in Appleton. Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour is assisting the family with arrangements.

A memorial fund has been established in Luci's name.
