Lyle "Wayne" Nelson, age 80, passed away on Sunday, January 16, 2022 at Aurora BayCare Hospital in Green Bay. He was born on March 15, 1941 to Loren "Lee" and Florence (Ruch) Nelson.
He was united in marriage to Ardella Olson on October 1, 1960 having celebrated 61 years of marriage.
Over the years he worked at the cheese factory, pallet factory, canning company, and was driving dump truck before his retirement.
He was the type of guy that loved to tinker with his bulldozers, backhoe, and anything else he could buy and fix which is proven by all of the lawnmowers he has.
Wayne enjoyed traveling having visited Ireland, New Zealand and Australia, and many places in the U.S.
Wayne was the glue of the entire family as his family was very important to him. If you wanted to know something about the family, all you had to do was ask Wayne and he had the answer.
He is survived by wife, Ardella; children: Jeffrey (Staci) Nelson and Tina Schertz; grandchildren: Jason (Laura) Nelson, Josh (Hannah) Nelson, and Amanda (Nick) Miller; great-grandchildren: Jaden, Taleah, Cheyanne, and Harley Nelson; Parker, Brystol, Bailee, and Kenzlee Miller.
