Mabel J. Marx, 103, of Nichols, WI passed away Monday, April 1, 2013 at Brewster Village, Appleton. She was born January 28, 1910 in the Town of Cicero to the late William and Anna (Miller) Jeske. On June 19, 1937 she was united in marriage to Walter Marx in Chicago. He preceded her in death in October 2, 1997.
In her younger years she worked as a housekeeper and cook for families in the Appleton and Chicago area before farming with her husband in the Nichols area.
Survivors include three sons: David Marx (friend Mary Ann Carter), Wayne Marx, Rex and Rita Marx and their children: Tammy (Martin) Eckart, Susan (Casey) Moriarty, Brian Marx; three great-grandchildren: John and Kate Eckart, Claire Moriarty; sister Doris Lange.
She is preceded in death by her son Freddy Marx; grandson Patrick Marx; brothers: Gilbert, Harold, George and William Jeske; sisters: Helen Preston and Ruth Behnke.
Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, 358 S. Main St., Seymour, on Friday, April 5, 2013 from 4 - 8 p.m. Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Saturday, April 6, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. until service at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the South Cicero Cemetery.
