Marcella M. Reese, age 92, of Shiocton passed away peacefully at The Bridges of Appleton Nursing Home April 1st, 2018. She was born December 9, 1925, daughter of the late William George and Dorothy (Birmingham) Duhm, Sr. She was united in marriage to Richard Reese on May 11, 1946 at St. John Evangelical and Reformed Church Black Creek. They were married for 64 years.
Marcella attended Fairview Grade School and graduated from Seymour High School. She and Richard farmed along with their sons for their entire married life in the Town of Maine. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and her chickens. If you ever stopped at meal time, she always found another plate with a couple desserts to pick from. Family was very special to her, especially her Grandchildren and Great-grandchildren. She was a member of Trinity UCC Church.
Marcella is survived by her three sons: Wayne (Carol), Shiocton; Dennis (Carol Storma), Seymour; Donald (Jeanne), Shiocton; nine grandchildren: Mark (Melissa) Reese, Shiocton; Kevin (Jennifer) Reese, Seymour; Brian (Carissa) Reese, Winneconne; Eric (Randi Lea) Reese, Black Creek; Scott (Sharon) Reese, Darlington; Jenny (Jeff) Schroth, Shiocton; Jason (Kristin) Reese, Black Creek; Sara (Allan) Zuiches, Shiocton; Bruce Reese, Shiocton; 16 great grandchildren: Timothy, Aliyah, Melany, Jaydon, Owen, Angela, Charlie, Elsie, David, Carson, Lindsey, Jacob, Bryson, Avery, Hattie, Allison, and Baby Z. due in May; sisters-in-law, Irene (Don) Huse and Geraldine Duhm; special niece, Peggy Rohm; several other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Reese, on March 25, 2011; sister, Veramae Rihm; infant sister, Betty Ann Duhm; brothers, Wallace Duhm and George Duhm, Jr.; sister-in-law, Edna Duhm; brothers-in-law, Lester Dey and Ray Rihm.
Friends may call at Trinity United Church of Christ, W6712 County Rd F, Shiocton, on Thursday, April 5, 2018 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue at the church on Friday, April 6, 2018, from 9:30 am until services at 11:00 am with Pastor Moira Finley officiating. Burial will take place in Graceland Cemetery, Clintonville.
A memorial fund has been established.
