Marcella Sachs

Marcella Sachs, age 90, was called home by her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, July 2, 2024.

Marcella was born on March 23, 1934 to the late Robert and Dora (Haefs) Prilepp. Marcella was united in marriage to Vernon Sachs on October 14, 1954. After their marriage, Vernon bought his family's farm. He preceded her in death on January 20, 2022.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, playing cards and bingo with her friends, and spending time with her dog Buddy.

She is survived by one son, Terry Sachs; one daughter, Barbara (Jim) LaPlant; and one brother-in-law, Tony Brunner. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband Vernon, brother Carl (the late Donna) Prilepp; sister Carol Brunner; in-laws Wesley (the late Jenny) Sachs, Roger (the late Judy) Sachs, Arlene (the late Ralph) Kneisler, and nephews Tim Sachs and Jerry Kneisler.

A private funeral service will take place at Highland Memorial Park, Pastor Mark Gartner officiating. Entombment will take place at Highland Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are appreciated.

Marcella's family would like to thank the first responders for caring for Marcella in her time of need. Also a special thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff at St. Elizabeth for their compassionate care towards Marcella.
