Marcia L. (Kohnhorst) Brick, 75, of Black Creek, passed away Monday, November 9, 2015 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton. She was born July 24, 1940, youngest child of the late Henry and Clare (LaBon) Kohnhorst.
She was baptized August 24th, 1940 at St. Stephens Lutheran Church, Wausau and confirmed into the Lutheran faith on July 26, 1953 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in the Town of Rib Mountain, near her childhood home. Marcia was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Black Creek.
On May 13, 1961 she was united in marriage to Gary Brick in Milwaukee. They moved to Black Creek in September 1961 where they lived until her death.
Marcia was a hairdresser for 37 years. She owned and operated Brick's Beauty Salon in Black Creek from 1961 until her retirement in 1998. She served as a trustee on the Black Creek Village Library Board for 26 years and also as a trustee on the Outagamie -Waupaca Library System Board for several years. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, she loved being a grandma. Marcia also enjoyed reading, gardening, writing, a good movie, and did volunteer work.
Marcia is survived by her husband, Gary; son, Jason Brick, Bonduel; grandson, Alex (Lilly) Brick, Plymouth, MN; granddaughter, Makeena Brick, Milwaukee; sister, Phyllis Lunt, Iowa; sister-in-law, Barbara Krutz, De Pere; six nephews and six nieces.
She is preceded in death by her parents and in-laws; brothers, Douglas (Jean) Kohnhorst and Gerald (Marion) Kohnhorst; brothers-in-law: Clifford Lunt and Raymond Krutz; and nephew, Todd Conrad.
Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour on Thursday, November 12, 2015 from 4 pm to 8 pm. Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Friday, November 13, 2015 from 9:30 am until the funeral service at 11 am with Pastor John Brandt officiating. Burial will take place in St. Patrick Cemetery, Askeaton, WI.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Marcia's name for the Black Creek Village Library.
