Margaret Byrd

Margaret (Munger) Diedrick Byrd, 89, Seymour, passed away on Monday, November 16, 2020. She was born on a beautiful day on May 13, 1931. She is the daughter of the late Marvin and Agnes (Polzin) Munger. Margaret had a soft spot for any type of animal and she enjoyed working at a veterinary clinic in Antigo so she could enjoy the animals. She also enjoyed the outdoors.

Margaret spent the last seven years living in an assisted living home with John and Cindy Vandenberg and Jackie Chase as her caretakers. The most awesome part of her seven years there was being “Grandma Byrd” to all 22 members of the Vandenberg family. We cannot thank them enough for providing her with daily unconditional love.

Margaret is survived by three children: Sandra Taggart, Cindy Woldt, and Timothy Diedrick; six grandchildren: Stella, Adrian, Jason, Nikki, Bryce and Bryanna; 12 great grandchildren; one great-great grandson; and her sisters: Alice and Natalee.

Margaret will be joining her late husband, Edward Byrd; her parents; and siblings: Marvin, Rose, Violet, Beatrice, Annabelle, and Cathleen in heaven..

Due to COVID, private family services will be held.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.

We wish to extend a special thank you to the staffs of Bellin Hospital Medical Unit and the Unity Hospice team for the care that was given to our mother during her stay at Bellin. We also want to thank Kayla from the ED at Bellin for calling mom “Grandma Byrd” - that meant a lot!
