Margaret E. Leeman, 93, received her unfading crown of glory as she passed peacefully from our earthly world on Tuesday, October 9, 2018. Margaret was born in the Town of Maine, WI on February 11, 1925, to Martha (Bauer) and Joseph Boodry.
She was baptized and later confirmed at First Lutheran Church, Shiocton. Margaret was an authentic “Rosie the Riveter”, assembling airplane wings and later working as a secretary for Chrysler in Detroit, MI during World War II, sending letters and love to her sweetheart overseas. Upon his return, Margaret married Royal “Bud” Leeman on February 2, 1946 in Leeman, WI and during their 62 years of marriage they were blessed with two daughters, Sue and Sara.
Margaret was a dedicated wife and mother. Active in Homemakers and Ladies Aid, she always enjoyed a good visit. Margaret was a grandmother to many nieces, nephews and neighbors long before and after the formal title was hers, and her cookies, laughter and hugs made the world a sweeter place for us all.
Margaret is survived by her daughters, Sue (Richard) Kempfert, Waupaca; and Sara (Joe) Duda, Seymour; grandchildren: Kathryn (Joe) Ruppert, Menasha; Joel (Patti) Kempfert, Waupaca; Jacob (Nichol Broderick) Kozlovsky, Coleman; Jonathon (Alicia) Kozlovsky, De Pere; great-grandchildren: Bethany and Aaron Ruppert, Menasha; Allen, Preston and Quinton Sokol, Coleman; Landon Mittelstadt and Brooklyn Kozlovsky, De Pere; her sisters-in-law: Lorraine (Walter) Bisterfeldt, Shiocton; Beatrice Leeman, Shiocton; and Gen Leeman, Appleton; many nieces, nephews and friends.
