Marian K. Kline, 89, of Kaukauna, passed away Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at Good Shepherd Nursing Home, Seymour. She was born July 5, 1925, daughter of the late Edmund and Ardina (Verbeten) Kline.
She was a member of St. Katharine Drexel (St. Mary's) Catholic Church in Kaukauna. Marian made many rosaries over the years and it is fitting that she went to her heavenly home on the Feast of our Lady of Rosary.
Marian graduated from Kaukauna High School in 1943 and was awarded with the Kaukauna Women's Club scholarship. On August 18, 1946 she graduated with high honors from St. Mary's School of Nursing in Milwaukee. Marian worked at St. Elizabeth Hospital for most of her nursing career.
After retirement Marian devoted her life to volunteering. For many years she was active at St. Mary's Parish, participating in the choir, working with the hot lunch program, and decorating the school bulletin boards. She also volunteered for over 25 years at St. Paul Home and at St. Vincent DePaul.
She enjoyed gardening, flowers, and was an avid reader. Marian was a talented artist and taught her nieces and nephews to enjoy art. She was able to use her artistic talent at Pechman's Photography coloring black and white photos.
She is survived by three siblings: brother, Joseph Kline, Lombard, IL; sisters: Margaret (Bob) Coonen, Seymour, Elizabeth A. Deckter, Addison, IL; nieces and nephews: Mark (Karen) Coonen, Seymour; Mary Claire (Al) Bartz, Appleton; Stephen (Brigitte) Coonen, Annandale, VA; Ann Spaude, Seymour; Michael (Lisa) Coonen, Seymour; Scott (Anita) Coonen, Milwaukee; Katherine (Ed) Akucewich, Chesterfield, OH; and Diane (Jeff) Shirrel, Sheboygan Falls. Further survived by 16 great-nieces and great-nephews.
