Marion L. Katch, 90, of Seymour passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at Bellin Hospital. She was born February 11, 1923 daughter of the late William and Minnie (Mailhan) Bunkelman. On April 6, 1940 she was united in marriage to Robert Katch. He preceded her in death on June 25th, 1990.
Marion was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Seymour.
She had worked at Seymour Canning and also worked at Good Shepherd Nursing Home for 15 years until her retirement.
Marion enjoyed her many trips to the casino, playing bingo, and playing cards with her friends.
She was a very loving mother and grandmother. Marion never missed the grandchildren's activities and special events.
She is survived by her children: Darlene (Don) Egnarski, Pulaski; Dale (Jean) Katch, Seymour; Dianne (Ray) Gronski, Pulaski; Dave (Sue) Katch, Seymour; Bob Katch, Appleton; Mary Strehlow, Pulaski; Jerry (Kathy) Katch, Elcho; Debbie (Steve) Buschel, Elcho; Dan (Rene) Katch, Freedom; Steve (Pat) Katch, Neenah; Sandy Hendzel (Bob), Seymour; Nancy (Fred) Leisgang, Seymour.
Further survived by 34 grandchildren: Kim (Lowell) Helms, John (Rhonda) Egnarski, Kevin, Lynda, and Brad Egnarski, Dean (Becky) Katch, Tavia (Rob) Hopfensperger, Keely (Todd) Schaumberg, Kyle (Katie) Katch, Brian (Teri) Gronski, Doug Gronski, Mike (Amy) Gronski, Laurie (Jeff) Olson, Amanda (Mohammed) Zaman, Adam Katch, Tammy (Scott) Nachtwey, Craig (Sue) Strehlow, Kari (Brian) Ambrosius, Keith Katch, Cory (Nicole) Katch, NeCole ( Dave) Oshefsky, McKana Katch, Sarah, Erica, and Erin "Willy" Hendzel, Lindsey and Hanna Leisgang, Eric and Alex Hopfensberger, Jamie, Katie, Melissa, Paula, Julia, Freddie, and Andrea.
Also survived by 37 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; 2 sisters-in-law: Betty Katch and Verna Bunkelman; many nieces and nephews.
Marion was preceded in death by a daughter, Bev; grandson, Christopher Gronski; son-in-law Jerry Strehlow; 3 brothers: Wilbur, Gordon, and Conrad; 3 sisters: Vernice, Florence, and Doris.
Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, on Sunday, March 10, 2013 from 4 pm to 8 pm with a parish prayer service at 7:30 pm. Visitation will continue on Monday, March 11, 2013 at St. John Catholic Church, Seymour, from 9:30 am until the funeral mass at 11 am with Fr. Bob Kabat officiating. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery.
