Marion G. Schmit, age 86, Seymour, peacefully went to her eternal rest on Wednesday, January 27, 2016. Marion was born May 4, 1929 a daughter to the late Russell and Cora (Wendrick) Carpenter.

On October 18, 1947, she married LeVern "Bud" Schmit. Bud preceded her in death on January 9, 2009.

She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church, Seymour. Marion retired from Chilton Globe.

Her favorite times were spent with family and her two dogs, Angel and Molly. Marion enjoyed card playing, baking, bingo, trips to the casino, and Saturday morning coffee. She was a generous person and anybody who knew her knows that she loved them.

Survivors include her children; Dianne (Dan) Huettl, Black Creek; Sally Abel, Neenah; Thomas (Betty) Schmit, Seymour; and Sue (Tim) Diermeier, Seymour; 14 Grandchildren; Tina (Scott) Bertrand, Gregg (Sarah) Huettl, Scott (fiancAC. Christine) Abel, Kevin (Donna) Abel, Jason (Carrie) Abel, Nate (Sara) Schmit, Rob Schmit, Jen (Rick) Liebergen, Mike (Lisa) Brockman, Corey (Kristin) Brockman; Kerry (Kenn) Kress, Kristen Diermeier and Stephanie Diermeier; and 20 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by brothers and sisters; Ralph Carpenter, Bernice Klarner, Dora Fonder, and Theresa Piton; brother-in-law, Lee (Betty) Schmit; and sister-in-law, Irene Zuleger.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy Brockman; grandson, Rick Huettl; son-in-law, Ron Abel; six brothers, and nephew, Terry Schmit.

Friends may call at St John Catholic Church, Seymour on Monday, February 1, 2016 from 3:00 pm until the memorial mass at 6:00 pm with Fr. Brian Belongia and Deacon Rich Matuszak officiating. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery.

Special thanks to the staff of The Village at Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Seymour and Heartland Hospice for the wonderful care given to Marion.
