Marjorie Volkman

April 15, 1925 — February 24, 2014

Marjorie J. Volkman, age 88, Meadow Wood Assisted Living, Seymour, passed away on Monday evening, February 24, 2014 at Appleton Medical Center. She was born April 15, 1925 daughter of the late William and Gladys (Mereness) Ahrens.
On June 30, 1945 she was united in marriage to Arnold Volkman in Appleton. He preceded her in death September 27, 2010.
Marjorie was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Black Creek and an active member of choir and the ladies aide. Marjorie and Arnold farmed in the Town of Center until their retirement and spent 17 years wintering in Casa Grande, AZ.
She is survived by her children: Wayne (Patricia) Volkman, Karen (John) Mueller, Jeffrey (Betty) Volkman, Gregory (Barbara) Volkman, Dale (Karen) Volkman, Brian Volkman; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one brother, Reginald Ahrens; two sisters-in-law: Dolores Volkman and Vera Zuberbier; many other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by two sisters: Carol Brew and Rosemary Cronin; half-brother, Ralph Ahrens.
Friends may call at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Black Creek on Saturday, March 1, 2014 from 10 a.m. until services at 12 noon with Rev. John Brandt and Pastor Steve Schlicht officiating. Burial will take place at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. Online condolences may be expressed at www.muehlboettcher.com
Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour is assisting the family with arrangements.
A memorial fund has been established.
